The Stakeholders: Internal stakeholder relations is a challenge to keep moving forward favourably. Communication and co-operation among departments is vital to keep customers happy. But falling out among stakeholders happens. When it does, someone needs to start the healing process fast. As a credit manager working hard to keep customer payment terms on track, staff motivated, DSO down and the dispute resolution process moving along, I take that step to rebuilding the rift. I value the internal stakeholder relationships highly. It seems incomprehensible to me to not be able to work in partnership with billing, account management, pricing, legal, customer services or finance. Mend the broken realtionships and work hard to keep them intact. The success of your credit department depends on them.
