Drive for Results: As a leader, you set the standards and the targets for your staff to achieve. You drive the teams on toward their goals by providing them the resources, the skills, the motivation, belief and will to succeed. And you do this by leading from the front and setting the standard. There musn't be any task you expect your staff to perform which you are not able or willing to roll up your sleeves to do. You cannot afford to be an armchair manager. Beware of this. Be hands on and grab the odd chance to show them how it's done. You'll earn the respect of your staff and they will follow your lead and strive to exceed KPI.
