Change & Innovate: The only constant in business is change. I encourage staff to pro-actively seek ways to improve processes to make their work more effective & easier. The easiest changes to implement are those created by the staff. Senior management are distanced from the coalface & changes they require must be cconsidered in consultation with staff. This helps to prevent negative backlash. I advocate that a staff member is appointed as the agent of change & project lead. He/she has to be thoroughly briefed to ensure the message is correctly interpreted for the change to be sold to colleagues. All staff need to buy-in to support and help implement the change.
